It's like Jennifer Aniston, all perfect, but I just can't be bothered. Nice hair, beautiful eyes and she does have a relaxed friendly vibe from where I can judge. Even to the mundane and simple non-celeb that I am, she looks approachable unlike other stars. And she's probably good for an interesting intelligent conversation on a wide range of topics too. But I just can't be bothered. Why on earth is that? And would it be different if she would be standing right here in front of me having a beer together? She probably does like a beer instead of some ridiculously complicated cocktail...

Well, what am I mumbling about?

Last week, I followed the same route as my Euro 1984 928S2: over the Atlantic and back. You see, (I'm starting to sound like Pablo with this phrase...) my 928 was a grey import at the times when the dollar was strong and the deutschmark weak. Earlier this year, the dollar was heading in that direction again making all these US based classic car lovers switch from craigslist to autoscout24, but things have balanced out again. No matter what the Greek do.

'Beers?'
'Check!'
'Popcorn?'
'Check!'
'Ear plugs?'
'Check!'

This is how the weekend started for me and my three friends Sander, Patrick, and Henk, when we gathered at my house for our yearly pilgrimage to Spa. To the 2014 Spa Six Hour Classic we go!

Man, what is it with this shark! I knew I went a bit against the adage 'Buy the best you can' with this P-car. Ahum, just a bit... But hey, it was black with tan seats, and had the Euro S with 310 galloping horses! I cannot resist that!?! But if my 928's quality is anything near the middle of the statistical bell-curve, then how on earth can there still be '70% of all Porsches ever made are still on the road'?! Or should that read '70% still upon a two post car lift with a frothing owner beneath it that is about to drop the #$%£¥ thing to the floor'.

Every now and then you stumble upon these forum threads. And you think, what the hell is this guy getting into...

Remember the final scene from the movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers? Where the last independent human is identified by Donald Sutherland, who was just assimilated by the aliens. Are 928/944/924/968 drivers a similarly disappearing breed, heading for oblivion? Are we the last true humans lost among the Porsche 'Elfer' body snatchers? And what is it that exactly defines our water-cooled clan? Is there any such thing as a common identity?
