I remember reading a ways back about PCNA proposing to Parker brothers creating a Porsche Monopoly game, but nothing ever came of it; the combination of a niche product paired with tooling/licensing costs and a bleak forecast on profit for Parker Brothers nixed any chance of this becoming a reality.

I love the pairing of antiquities with modernity. this 22.5" x 13" showroom poster shot at the back end of Union Square in Tahoe Sierra, California is a perfect example of such a pairing...great eye.
offered on ebay as of this writing.
I used to love it when my parent's Audi 5000S needed to go the dealer for some repair that usually involved the power steering system.
it was the mid-eighties, I was just becoming a teen and what that meant for me was chance to be intimate with the Porsches in the showroom. it was also an opportunity to collect every single brochure, pamphlet, poster, or anything else the factory decided to print on paper about its models.
I never went home empty handed.

What great piece of history to have proving how the 924 saved two companies from financial ruin. Check out the history lesson here.
It's incredible how such a seemingly ordinary photograph taken nearly 40 years ago could evoke so much awe today. This was just another day at the factory, but to the enthusiast who owns one or all of these cars, it's so much more.
These photographs are great reminders of time when these cars were in their glory...funny thing is, these two could've been today's 40-something's mom and dad.
