Guards Red exterior, Black leather interior, excellent driver -- possible show quality Porsche.
Typical stones chips and touch ups from use. This is not a 1000 point show car. It has been enjoyed by an elder gentleman that has used and lovingly appreciated this very unique example of a Porsche 944 Turbo. It has slightly over 100,000 miles. Some of that is track time (Sports Car Club) and most of it touring on weekends and vacations during fair weather. This Porsche has not seen any snow or severe weather. There is no indication of rust or deterioration of the paint or sheet metal anywhere on this fine sports car due to exposure.
The engine has had a few upgrades as well. A large capacity oil filter has been added as well as a large capacity engine oil cooler. To accommodate the increased oil filtering and cooling capacities the A/C compressor and condenser have been removed. Both pieces have been discarded many years ago. The A/C system can be purged and recharged with the installation of these two pieces, if the buyers wishes to after their purchase, at the buyer's expense. Upgraded fuel pressure regulators have been installed to properly accommodate the increased use of Ethanol in current pump gasoline. Turbo boost and turbo mechanicals have been improved upon to eliminate the factory short comings. This car comfortably cruises above 100 MPH and has recently been confirmed at 150 MPH by a certified Porsche technician.
The interior is 100% original. Seat surfaces, carpets, rear compartment all have the original (day one) components. Seat surfaces show the care and attention quality leather should receive throughout its life. Carpeted surfaces have factory mats included to continue the proper care this Porsche should receive.
Exterior paint is in very good to excellent condition. A few stone chips, some other slight use marks can be found. The factory installed vinyl quarter panel overlays have begun to crack but, are in good overall condition. They can be removed and replaced with new current state of the art product. They do not detract from the appearance of the exterior -- just noting the details. The hood, front fenders and front fascia have been repainted to eliminate the majority of paint chips. Also two car covers (interior & exterior) are included as well.
Maintenance, owner's, shop manuals and other printed materials are included with the purchase. All owner provided service records are included and are available for review prior to purchase.
Low miles, impeccable maintenance, all records included with sale of car. This Porsche is intended to be sold to the proper purchaser. An individual that understands and appreciates a 944 Turbo that truly performs at its peak for a street certified, emissions check certified, driving, time capsule Porsche. This is a two owner car purchased by this owner in 1990 from the original owner, a new car Porsche dealer.
With only 1,385 produced for US consumption, this is a somewhat rare and unique car.
All Inquiries will be addressed promptly. Appointments will be made to inspect this Porsche.
I am a close personal friend of the owner and will be conducting the sale on behalf of the owner.
this is usually the first indication that you'll be fed truckloads of bullshit. why is he selling the car for his "close personal friend?" is this friend, stupid, handicapped, or simply imaginary? I ask because I can see no other reason why the rightful owner would ask this tool to advertise a car on his behalf.
"Everything on this Porsche functions as designed by Porsche. The transmission has been properly upgraded to a 6-speed manual from a 968....The transmission and clutch performs flawlessly and provides an extra overdrive gear to improve fuel economy and top end performance."
if you changed the gearbox, then the car no longer functions "as designed by Porsche." by swapping out the optimal gear ratios Porsche specified exclusively for the 951, you've not only killed the originality of the car, you've reduced its value.

then you go and gut the AirCon, and then go on to make the buyer seem like an idiot by suggesting "if the buyers wishes to after their purchase, at the buyer's expense." so you're giving the buyer permission to put the shit back after the purchase? oh gee, thanks sir! you also really seem to know more than Porsche because clearly the oil cooler and turbo mechanicals they've spent more years testing than you've taken to get your high school diploma is obviously their shortcoming. goddamn, ain't that some shit?
"This car comfortably cruises above 100 MPH and has recently been confirmed at 150 MPH by a certified Porsche technician."
I had no clue it took a certified Porsche tech to confirm that this car can pull 150...is that the same certified dildo that moonlights at the Meineke muffler shop also the one who ripped out the AirCon, original gearbox, and increased the already superb oil circulation/cooling capabilities the car left Zuffenhausen with?

does being the "proper purchaser" mean the buyer has to take a test and pass it just to own this heap? I suppose so, because he copy and pasted a little canned history on the Turbo in the ad for us to realize what a complete and utter waste of time that is even for those who know jack shit about Porsches let alone 951s. look, I don't have a problem with the car, I do have a problem with the fact that this car has been dicked-up and modified by person(s) who claim to know more the Porsche's engineers. furthermore, if you want to increase the value of these cars, you ain't going about it the right way.
look friend, knock 10 grand off the price and pass that bottle of Sysco you'e been suckin' on, will ya?
