"ees five hombre, lets go see some pinky...cam on!"

"no Lou," I said, "I've gotta get outta here."

"WEAH YOU GO NOW?" Luis yelled.

I was getting pissed off at the Spaniard because he's so goddamn pushy; as I opened the door to leave my office, I yelled back

"look man, I've got more important shit to do than go to a titty bar."

some guys live their whole lives chasing their tails by chasing tail and end up jacking their whole lives away without accomplishing shit. me? I wanted to talk to you lot about this rather rare 968.

the first thing I said to myself after my eyes glanced away from the rare ARC Cobalt Blue Multicolor Stoff on the seat inserts wasn't a remark about the Tiptronic, nor the impeccable OCD-clean interior, no. what I whispered for my ears only was "ah, this one doesn't have option M526."

that option code is for the cloth door panels; this one had the leatherette instead. unfortunately, the very cool Multicolor seat inlays available in XJ1 black, XJ4 marine blue, ARC cobalt blue, APC classic grey, ASC magenta, AQC light grey, and AQW cashmere, were offered from model years 1992 and 1993 with the old style 944-type seats which also shared the XJ1 black, ARC cobalt blue, and APC classic grey with the '44 in 1991 only. do keep in mind these were seats with the inlays in this fabric and bolsters in leatherette; a seat covered entirely in them, seat and back rest, could also be had in the same colors, albeit different codes.

buy the time model years 1994 and 1995 rolled in with the new 993 style seats, the only cloth available was the ones emblazoned with Porsche lettering. what a pity, that, as the Multicolor lends an air eccentricity that's so fitting with the 968 chassis. the writing was on the wall, it seems, that the somber years were ahead. but that's a topic for another time.

for the moment, let's enjoy relics such as this not-yet-broken-in Cabriolet which, although has the Tiptronic, the uncool 16" wheels, and an unjust amount of photos is a rarity in its own right ripe for the picking— at a very fair price I might add.
